
As a social content creator for the Unified Social Media team at Scholastic, I partnered with the trade publishing marketing team to create engaging content for their book titles and authors. Some of Scholastic big trade titles include: Harry Potter, DogMan, Goosebumps, and Hunger Games. Our challenge was to create social-first content which aligned with the marketing team’s goals. My work included content for book launch promotions, author interviews and events, book excerpts, book quotes, audio book excerpts, sales promotions, and giveaways.

As an integral member of the Unified Social Media team, I helped to build the photography studio at the Scholastic Soho headquarters. Initially, we took our own photos and video using the office as a backdrop for a lot of content, including styling and sourcing our own props. Eventually we worked with an in-house studio photographer for bigger campaign shoots. For the Holiday shoot, we were hands on styling the ribbons, bows, paper and boxes and art directing the shots on set to ensure a consistent look/feel for quite a hefty volume of trade and series titles.
